The Dental Health Utsav started with free dental check-up and to encourage more participation free toothpaste and toothbrushes were distributed generously. 550 patients were examined during the course of the day. Through dental exhibits people were made cognizant with the subject as well as upcoming new technologies in dentistry.

The chief attraction of the day was “Íntra-college youth festival: Rendezvous with MAIDS”. As part of this a singing and dancing competition was organized. The afternoon saw the doctors at war for the much anticipated prize in the intra college antakshiri competition. Following it was a skit well prepared by the staff members and then a competition for the foodies: "masterchef". After the delicious event a round of extempore was held.

The audience enjoyed a spectacular dance performance in the evening bypadmshriGeetaChandran, courteousy Spic Macay. Star classical dancer (Padmashri) GeetaChandranhas been trained by a galaxy of eminent Bharatanatyam Gurus including SwarnaSaraswathy and Guru K.N. DakshinamurthiPillai (younger brother of the legendary Guru, PadmashriShri K.N. DandayudhapaniPillai).

Geeta has ably synthesised her eclectic classical training to present unique dance presentations in which she skilfully weaves abstract notions of Joy, Beauty, Values, Aspiration, Myth and Spirituality. Founder-President of Natya-Vriksha, where she teaches and promotes Bharatanatyam, Geeta is also Artistic Director of the NatyaVriksha Dance Company, which has travelled all over the world with its superb dance presentations. She mentors over a hundred disciples who have learnt Bharatanatyam from her for decades.

The evening ended with the much awaited faculty fashion show in which the students saw their teachers in a new avatar! Who knew doctors could be this talented!
