Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched “Anti Corruption Drive” in Delhi and has sought cooperation from the cross section of the society. Addressing a press conference at Delhi Secretariat today Kejriwal also launched an eight digit helpline No. 27357169 to curve the menace of corruption from the various Government Departments/Agencies in Delhi. He said that soon a four digit No. will also be announced for the ease of the people. He said that the Government has also setup a call centre for booking the complaints of the corruption cases, where trained officer/officials have been deputed for taking up such matters of the corruption. The above said helpline No. will be operational from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM on all days.
Kejriwal said that any person asking for graft from anybody will be booked under anti corruption law after complaint is booked at the above centre and above number. The complainant have to record the boys/conversation with regard to demanding of bribe by the officer/officials. He or She can contact at the above said helpline number.
The trained anti corruption branch officers/officials on verifying the recorded voice/conversation where they find the officer/official demanding bribe will make a trap of the bribe seeker and will make sting operation of the said officer as a sufficient proof for arresting red-handed.
>Kejriwal said that there are two category of corruption- one is extortionist corruption and another is mutual corruption. In both these types of corruption sufficient evidence would be required to book the case under Anti-Corruption provisions.
Kejriwal said that the Government will launch a massive media campaign to aware people and to seek their cooperation in curving the corruption.
