New Delhi: South Delhi Municipal Corporation today distributed prizes and awards for sports competition in Sports Prize Distribution Programme in Shri Khatu Shyam Stadium, Hari Nagar. Deputy Chairman, Education Committee, Smt. Kusum Khatri was the chief guest on this occasion.
Director, Primary Education, Mr. Rajesh Pathak and other officials graced the occasion. About 600 students participated Inter-zonal Sports & Games Competition from all the four zones of the South DMC. Najafgarh Zone was adjourned as best zone in overall Sports and Games Competition and West Zone as runner-up.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Pathak said that Corporation is developing sports environment in its school. There is a need to develop such an atmosphere where students can be motivated towards sports and teachers should focus in searching new sports talent.
