The Delhi Appropriation Bill, 2014 authorizing payment and appropriation of sums from the Consolidated Fund of the NCT of Delhi for Financial Year 2013-14 and Delhi Appropriation (Vote on Account Bill, 2014) providing for withdrawal of funds from the Consolidated Fund of the NCT of Delhi for a period of six months of the financial year 2014-15 were passed by the Parliament today.

The Revised Budget for the year 2013-14 and Interim Budget for the year 2014-15 of the Government of NCT of Delhi was presented today in the Parliament and approved by the House.

REVISED ESTIMATES 2013-14

In the Revised Estimates (RE) 2013-14, Parliament has approved Rs.35423.59 cr as against the Budget Estimates (BE) of Rs.37450 cr. It includes a reduced Non-Plan Expenditure made possible because of a number of economy measures taken by the Government. Accordingly, the Non-Plan Expenditure is going to be reduced from Rs. 21000 cr in BE to Rs.20273.59 cr in RE in the current financial year. The Plan Expenditure of Rs.15150 cr including Rs.450 cr for CSS has been approved in RE 2013-14.

SUPPLEMENTARY DEMANDS

In order to give effect to the Revised Estimates for the year 2013-14 for NCT of Delhi financial supplementary demands for grants amount to Rs.363.056 cr have been approved by the Parliament.

BUDGET ESTIMAES 2014-15

Budget Estimates of Rs.36066 cr. is approved in the Interim Budget for the year 2014-15. It includes Rs.17000 cr. for Plan Expenditure (including Rs.1000 cr for CSS) and Rs.19066 cr. for Non-Plan Expenditure. The Demands for Grants for the full Financial Year 2014-15 may be revised at the time of presentation of the regular budget, if need arises.

The Interim Budget for 2014-15 is proposed to be funded from Tax Revenue of Rs.31571 cr., Non-Tax Revenue of Rs.1161.01 cr., Additional Central Assistance for Centrally Sponsored Schemes of Rs.1000 cr. and Central Assistance for Plan Expenditure of Rs.1190.78 cr.
