The Lieutenant Governor Shri Najeeb Jung was informed by the office of the Delhi Secretariat that a new Public Grievance Monitoring System (PGMS) has been established for redressal of grievances/complaints received from the public during Public Hearing Session, by post and at the office of the Delhi Secretariat. A facility has also been provided to the citizens to register their grievances online. A Helpdesk has been setup at the Reception to have a direct interface with the public.
The system is working on paperless mode through PGMS portal through which brief details of the grievances are entered in the system, the grievances are scanned and then uploaded/forwarded to the Departments concerned for taking appropriate action in a time bound manner. Various guidelines/circulars have been issued in order to properly deal with grievances. Approximately 200 Departments of G.N.C.T have been connected through PGMS portal for timely disposal of the registered grievances. The concerned departments are required to upload their response/reply to the grievances within the stipulated time.
The Lieutenant Governor has instructed that there must be a speedy redressal of problems through this new facility. A review of the working of this system will be done by the Lieutenant Governor periodically.
