BJP Delhi Pradesh President Dr. Harsh Vardhan has blamed Aam Aadmi Party is power greedy and made a secret understanding with the corrupt Congress Party to come to power and after that it resigned because it did not have the capacity to run the Government.
This fact was stated by Dr. Harsh Vardhan in reply to the demand of Aam Aadmi Party to make BJP’s stand clear on President’s rule in Delhi. He said that if the BJP wanted, it could have formed Government when the LG had on the 12th December invited the party to form Government. At that time BJP made its stand clear that it is four members short of majority in the house. Hence it would like to sit in the opposition.
After that, on the 14th December LG invited Arvind Kejriwal to form Government. Power greedy Kejriwal entered into a secret understanding with the corrupt Congress party to form Government and he played a drama of taking the view of the people and consequently formed Government in Delhi only on the strength of 28 MLAs.
This Government lasted for 49 days only and everyday this Government made false promises, betrayed the people and created disputes. This Government lied to the people every day in its 49 days rule and all its promises prove to be false. The police filed many cases against them for violating law. This was the first instance in the history of Delhi that a Chief Minister staged Dharna at Rail Bhawan on 20th and 21st January to save one of its ministers Somnath Bharti from imprisonment. Due to this lakhs of people of Delhi faced difficulties. When these people found that running a Government is more difficult than running NGO, they resigned.
Dr. Harsh Vardhan further said that by misleading the people and for the purpose of gaining cheap popularity, Arvind Kejriwal granted subsidy of crores to the power companies from the fund meant for Municipal Corporation of Delhi and played a drama of reducing power tariff by 50 percent. Now, it has been found that the fund meant for public welfare has been diverted. The people of Delhi will have to suffer due to it.
This is just like taking out money from one pocket and putting into another. Dr. Harsh Vardhan has raised a question to Arvind Kejriwal that if he is not in connivance with the power companies then why he had helped in increasing power tariff by the DERC before forming Government in Delhi? After forming Government, he granted waiver to 24 thousand people in place of reducing power tariff by 50 percent to all. Is it not injustice with the honest power consumers paying bill regularly?
