New Delhi: Glowing tributes were paid to the great freedom fighter, social reformer and saint philosopher on the occasion of his 157th birth anniversary. The North Delhi Municipal Corporation organized a simple function at his “Balidan Sthal” at Town Hall in Chandni Chowk where his statue is installed.
Ms. Poornima Vidhyarthi, Dy. Mayor and Ms. Surekha Gupta, Municipal Councillor garlanded the statue of Swami Ji. A number of NDMC Officers were also present on this occasion.
The life of Swami Shardhanand taught us that we should be able to make supreme sacrifice for the country and society. Swami Ji renderred great services in the field of education by establishing “Gurukul System”. He always stood for Hindu-Muslim unity.
