It has produced a number of renowned sports persons, who had shown time to time their worth during SAF/ Common Wealth Games, Asian Games and also in Olympics
The All India Hot Weather Football Tournament 2014 was organized at Paddal Ground in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh wef 16 th to 22nd June 2014. In this tournament, the players, who have proved their mettle in National and International level football championships, are participated. The top teams of India, which are participated in the tournament are Border Security Force, CAG Delhi, Gadhwal, Punjab Police, Taltala Dipti Sangha Kolkata, Sayel Club Rourkela, Colaba young Star Mumbai Gadhwal Regiment and DFA Hoshiarpur.
After winning in very exiting league matches, Border Security Force and DFA Hoshiarpur teams reached for the prestigious final match of 43rd All India Hot Weather Football Tournament 2014 which was held on 22nd June 2014 and Border Security Force Team won by 3 – 2 (in penalty shootout) after defeating DFA Hoshiarpur after a tough match played at the Paddal ground in Mandi on Sunday evening.
Shri P L Thakur, Inspector General of Police, Central Zone Mandi, Himachal Pradesh distributed the Winner up trophy to Border Security Force team and runner-up trophy to DFA Hoshiarpur team players at the Paddal Ground in Mandi and appreciated Border Security Force Team players for winning this prestigious All India Hot Weather Football Tournament 2014.
