New Delhi: Manoj Tiwari newly elected Member of Parliament from North East Delhi promised to make his area one of the best parliamentary constituencies in Delhi. Interacting with his area MLAs, District Magistrates and top government officials from various departments, he promised to make North East a shining example of progress and development in next five years.
In a well attended meeting, where Chaudhary Mateen Ahmad, MLA-Seelampur, Shri Mohan Singh Bisht, MLA-Karawal Nagar, Shri Ranjeet Singh Kashyap, MLA- Gokalpuri, Shri Jitender Mahajan, MLA-Rohtash Nagar were present, different departments of government including Revenue Department, Police Department, EDMC, BYPL, Education Department, Health Department, I&FC Department briefed the Member of Parliament about the functioning of their departments.
Tiwari directed that construction of underpasses at Ashok Nagar and Mansarovar Garden may be speeded up. He also advised officers to ensure that activity of unauthorized colonization may be stopped as pointed out by various MLAs. Shri Mohan Singh Bisht, MLA raised the issue of power crisis in his area due to HVDS transformers. Education Department got a flak for refusal of admission to local students.
The meeting was organized jointly by District Magistrate(North-East) Shri Azimul Haque and District Magistrate (Shahdara) Shri Devesh Singh to usher in a new era of public service delivery by bringing elected representatives and senior officers of various government department at one forum.
