New Delhi: Union HRD Minister Smt Smriti Zubin Irani has said that BSF is a versatile force and BSF personnel are playing a vital role in the Security of the country and BWWA has undertaken the important role of the upliftment and welfare of families of BSF. The Border Security Force Wives Welfare Association (BWWA), an organization “of Women for Women” is vigorously working towards the welfare, empowerment and advancement of women.
The Border Security Force Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) celebrated BWWA Day organized on 19th Sept 2014 at Ashwini Officers Mess of BSF, Nizamuddin, New Delhi.
Smt Smriti Zubin Irani, Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource Development was the Chief Guest and graced the occasion in the presence of Sh D K Pahtak, IPS, Director General, BSF and Smt Renu Sharma, President BWWA & all member of BWWA Committee.
During the celebration, Chief Guest Smt Smriti Zubin Irani, Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource Development facilitated the Widows of BSF deceased personnel and distributed gifts to disabled children of BSF wards. She also distributed flood relief materials to the rep of BSF Kashmir Frontier for handing over to the flood affected people in Kashmir.
The Chief Guest Smt Smriti Zubin Irani, Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource Development Minister has decided to open the gates of its countrywide adult education centres for imparting education to families of the country's largest border guarding force (BSF).
