New Delhi: Is this the symptom and indication that the Modi wave is about to vanish from the memory of the countrymen? At least the recent poll results tells the same story. In the recent by polls, which certainly was a litmus test for BJP, it has bound to face biggest electoral jolt after the Narendra Modi government came to power.
It is very surprising and shocking for the entire BJP team as less than four months after sweeping Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan in Lok Sabha polls, it has lost 14 of its 24 seats in these polls.
Results are not favourable for BJP from U.P where it has to face debacle from SP. Surprisingly in Rohaniya, which falls in Varanasi, and it was the Prime Minister's seat, it has to defeat from SP.
Situation are same from even Rajasthan and Gujarat where Congress witnessed its presence after a long time.
However there is some reason for BJP to cheers as it has opened its account in the West Bengal Assembly after a 15-year gap. It has won the bypoll in the Basirhat Dakshin constituency where its candidate Shamik Bhattacharjee defeated nearest rival.
