New Delhi: In a bid to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of the Thor Heyerdahl – the legendary Norwegian ethnographer and adventurer, Google has posted a beautiful and impressive doodles to tribute him.
Thor Heyerdahl was a famous Norwegian ethnographer and adventurer who is known for his many voyages including the most famous for his Kon-Tiki expedition.
Thor Heyerdahl was also known for his other interest known as rock carvings. His work in rock carvings mesmerized the world with the magnificent beauty and gave him the glorious name in the field.
Thor Heyerdahl was born on October 6, 1914, in Larvik, Norway. Heyerdahl has as a strong interest in zoology and geography and that is why he studied zoology and geography at the faculty of biological science at the University of Oslo.
In his childhood he created a small museum for his appetite of zoology and geography.
He was died on April 18, 2002 at the age of 87 in Italy.
