In a bid to celebrate one month of the India’s Mars Orbiter in the orbit of Mars, Google has posted an impressive doodle on its search page. The doodle is providing a visual representative of the success of India’s Mangalyaan.
It is noted that the Indian Mars Orbiter successfully entered the Mars orbit on 24 September which scripted a history for India and it become the first nation in the world to successfully launch a Mars mission in its maiden attempt.
Commonly known as the Mangalyaan, which is a Sanskrit word used for Mars craft, started orbiting Mars on September 24.
However it is a fact that Google generally comes up with doodles to mark anniversaries of the annual events, this gesture of the search giant is rare. It commonly remembers the birth anniversary or historical moments which represented by Google on Doodles. The above doodle will be visible only in India.
Needless to say, India was the first Asian country and the fourth space power after the US, Europe and Russia to send a spacecraft to Mars. India also was the first country to succeed in the first attempt.
The $74 million project by the Indian Space Research Organization is the cheapest Mars mission so far.
