With the BJP’s central government having been forced to finally take the much delayed decision of dissolving the Delhi assembly after a gap of eight months, the Aam Aadmi Party has now started the first phase of its campaign for the fresh assembly elections.
The party has unveiled its first set of posters and hoardings, (please find enclosed sample posters + hoardings) in which it has appealed to the people of Delhi to compare the performance of 49 days of Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi, with that of first 150 days of Narendra Modi government at the centre.
The theme of the campaign material is to remind the people of Delhi that the BJP’s central government has been ruling Delhi through a backdoor since the month of May and it cannot escape the responsibility for the unjustified hike in electricity and water tariffs.
There has been a rise in the levels of corruption in the national capital, which has increased the sufferings of the people under an unresponsive and unaccountable Delhi administration.
This initial phase of campaign will set the tone for party’s main theme of making Delhi India’s first corruption free state and a world class city through honest governance, which the AAP alone can provide.
