New Delhi: Union Minister for Science & Technology Dr. Harsh Vardhantoday inaugurate newly-constructed Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya multi-specialty Ayurvedic Center at Geeta Colony in East Delhi Municipal Corporation. On the occasion East Delhi Mayor, Ms. Meenakshi; Member of Parliament from East Delhi, Mr. Mahesh Giri; Deputy Mayor, Mr. Jai Gopal Verma; Leader of House (EDMC), Mr. Ram Narayan Dubey were also present. The function was presided over by the Area councillor Ms. Kalpna Devi Jain.

On the occasion Dr. Harsh Verdhan said that we cannot get culvert solution from modern health facility. We also need to focus on traditionalAyurvedic and yoga as well. He also appreciated the step of East Delhi Municipal Corporation for developing Ayurvedic Multi-Specialty Center in East Delhi. He also said that Ayurvedic medicine has minimum side effects. He also appealed the councillors and the offices to execute their developmental project at fast pace to be more transparent in their working.

Speaking on the occasion East Delhi Mayor, Ms. Meenakshi said that East Delhi Municipal Corporation always make efforts to provide best of civic facilities to citizens although it has limited resources. She also said that the now with facility of Multi-Specialty Ayurvedic Center citizens would be able to get services at their door steps. She also said that large number of people has belief in Ayurvedic system of medicine so we need to develop Ayurvedic medical facilities parallel to Allopathic system of medicine.

Member of Parliament, Mr. Mahesh Giri appreciated the efforts of Municipal Corporation. He also said that the healthy mind in healthy body and there is no other way to make body healthy.

Area Councillor Ms. Kalpana Devi Jain who presided over the function informed that the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Multi-Specialty Ayurvedic Center has been built with the coast of Rs. 252 Lakhs. She also said that Ayurvedic center project completed in 12 months record time. The Ayurvedic Center has facilities like ultrasound, seminar hall, ayurvedic library, yoga and meditation hall, women ward and recreation center for the citizens.
