New Delhi: Dilli Haat Janak Puri shall be hosting Food Festival of India (Delhi Edition) from 21st -23rd, November 2014 Delhi, the city of diverse flavours and appetite will be eating a platter full of exquisite dishes on these 3 days marking the celebration of food. The festival will offer variety of traditional food items, especially from parts of Old Delhi and NCR. Popular and famous culinary experts in the city are set to delight the visitors with their mastered cookery skills. Ripu Daman Handa, the winner of 3rd season of Master Chef India says, "Delhi is famous for its street food and food festivals are an open platform for all the cooking experts in the nook and corner of the city. This charming opportunity helps them connect with the food lovers and understand their tastes." This festival will be a free space for the masters of cooking art and cuisiniers of Delhi, including Sitaram Bazar ke Chole Bhature wala, masaledar Pao Bhaji makers, Paranthe Wali Gali keculinary crackerjacks and Anmol Chicken wala along with others. Light delectable food items like Chaat, special Jalebi, Chuski, Bhel Puri, Litti Chokha, Bedimi Puri will also be served.
The 1st Food Festival of India (organised by Aspirants Events) had earlier been held in Noida and now will be delighting the visitors at Dilli Haat Janak Puri with its special attractions. Ripu Daman also adds that this festival is a unique space for visitors for not only tasting the food but also learning about cooking them. "While relishing the food, people also get exposed to its cooking and often end up enquiring the chef about the secret of the recipe. This way the masses are also informed about the ingredients and the hard work that went into making a heavenly delicious meal," adds Ripu.
There will be various colourful programs during the occasion as the Special Cultural Program on Saturday and Sunday including Folk dancers from Rajasthan, Bihar, UP, Himachal and Chhattisgarh will be enthralling the foodies with their delightful performance at the venue on Saturday and Sunday (22nd and 23rd November, 2014). This cultural troupe will be presented by North Central Zone Cultural Centre, Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
