New Delhi: Delhi Tourism's foundation day was celebrated to mark 39 years of glory and success at Delhi's brand new cultural destination of Dilli Haat Janak Puri. The celebrations began with invocation of Lord Ganesha, followed by lighting of the inaugural lamp by Sh. Ramesh Tiwari, MD & CEO, DTTDC along with Sh. Ravi Dadhich, GM, DTTDC. Proudly entering 40s, Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) was brought into being on the twelfth day of December of 1975.
All these years have been thoroughly enterprising and ambitious projects have been undertaken to transform Delhi into a spectacular tourist friendly destination.

In a bid to celebrate the 39 memorable years of sublime achievement, various cultural programs were organised to entertain the employees of the organisation. These presentations included special bhangra performance, mindboggling magic show, Tanura dance, patriotic songs along with other captivating events. Tanura, an Egyptians folk dance, not only dazzled the audience but the bright outfits of the performers was a major attraction.
The employees of DTTDC were less than no one and a special time slot was assigned for their performance. Since the time of inception, Delhi Tourism has been instrumental in promoting tourism in and around Delhi through numerous activities, events and projects. Conducting tours in and around Delhi, easing railway and air booking through online partners and introducing Ho-Ho bus service add to DTTDC's ever-growing efforts.
Few of the initiatives include, Dilli Haat Utsav, Magic Festival, Dilli Ke Pakwaan, Kite Festival, upcoming projects like Soft Adventure Park at Sanjay Lake, Chhawla and Kanganheri Project and Signature Bridge along with others.
