Rajouri: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that he had never witnessed such a situation and such enthusiastic and big crowds in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that now the time has come to get rid of the Father-Son and Father-Daughter parties in J and K. The Prime Minister urged the people to keep this spirit alive. He was addressing election rallies in Rajouri and Kathua in the Valley.
The Prime Minister said he had often visited Jammu and Kashmir right from the days when he was just an ordinary party worker. But he said he had never witnessed such a situation and such enthusiastic and big crowds in Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister urged the people to keep this spirit alive.
He praised the bravery of the people of Rajouri, who never flinched despite repeated firing from across the border. He asked why previous governments had not allowed the youth of Rajouri to join the Army, and promised that he would restart Army recruitment from the region.
He urged the people to punish previous governments who had not worked for their good of the people, and had not provided basic amenities such as water, education, health, roads and power.
The Prime Minister urged the people to get rid of the "baap-beta"and "baap-beti" parties. He said it was time for people to think of the good of their own sons and daughters, and vote for development.
The Prime Minister said Jammu and Kashmir has the potential to energize the entire country through its hydropower potential. He said the state government should not differentiate or discriminate between various regions of the state. He said the BJP believes in "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas."
He urged the people to elect the BJP with a full majority in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged people to vote in large numbers, howsoever cold it may be. He said the whole world was watching with interest the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, because of the heavy turnout. He congratulated the voters for this turnout.
