New Delhi: Congress has said that the major issues being faced by general public are the non-supply of water, blocked drains, parking troubles, to troublesome sales tax officials, thefts etc.

Sharmistha Mukherjee, Congress candidate from Greater Kailash assembly constituency, had door to door campaigns at Khirki village, Savitri Nagar and Sant Nagar.

Speaking to the people, Sharmistha said that the major issues being faced by general public of Savitri Nagar are the non-supply of water, blocked drains, parking troubles, to troublesome sales tax officials, thefts etc.

Addressing people at Sant Nagar, Mukherjee added that she will improve the quality of roads and also look after their problem of drinking water.

She further added that security in the area, particularly of Women and Senior Citizens; installation, maintenance & monitoring of CCTVs; Ensuring adequate lighting in dark areas; formation of mohalla suraksha samitis; Gender sensitization programs; Self defence programs for women would also be ensured in the constituency as a whole.

Sharmistha also emphasized that she will launch a Greater Kailash Vidhan Sabha website containing local information about the constituency, information on ongoing and upcoming government projects within the constituency with details of authorities involved. She also laid stress on the setting up of a single window grievance redressal cell in the constituency.
