New Delhi: Delhi witnessed a record voter turnout of 67.08% today when it ended with a record turnout. Meanwhile, the exitpolls displayed after the elections predicts that the AAP was ahead of its rivals and had the most chances of taking power in Delhi.

The Times Now-C-Voter survey

AAP:31-39 seats and the BJP: 27-35

The India Today-Cicero

AAP: 35-43 seats and BJP: 23-29

The NDTV survey

AAP:38 seats and the BJP: 29

The Axis-APM poll

AAP : 53 and BJP: 17

It clearly shows that Arvind Kejriwal's party could get between 35 to 43 seats while the BJP could bag 23-29 seats. The Congress may get just 2-5 seats.

Media sources claims that all the six major exit polls (Nielsen, C-Voter, Cicero, News Nation, Axis APM, Today's Chanakya) showed Mr Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accumulating 41 seats and certainly it is enough to form the government.

Certainly the victory of AAP in Delhi will be a major setback for Modi Government in Delhi as it will be the first major debacle after the formation of Modi govt. in Delhi.

Before eight months, Modi was displayed the huge victory in Lok Sabha election in the country and displaced Congress from Power.

Earlier polling started for the 70-member Delhi assembly amid the tight security in the state. All the security arrangments and police deployment were made properly so that free and fair poll can be held. Voting began at 8 a.m. amid tight security on all the Assembly seats.
