Adelaide: In a bid to give a tough target to the Pakistan, India remained successful in set up a target of 301 run against Pakistan in the World Cup opener match here. It is the very interesting match for India and Pakistan also as the clash between both the countries on pitches of cricket means everything than cricket also.

Earlier India won the toss and opted to bat against Pakistan and it set a target of only 301 runs against Pakistan. However India achieved comfortable start when

Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli had a good second wicket partnership as both made a total of 73 from 76 balls.

Virat Kohli made 103 runs out of 126 balls and it was not the innings for what he is meant for. Yes it was Suresh Raina who played his natural game and made 74 (56 balls). Certainly he played crucial role with Virat Kohli which reached India in a comfortable zone.

However India did not played well during the slog over time and it was not satisfactory as it could be achieved some more runs during the last over. India could have got a lot more, but wickets at the end dented their chances of getting 310-320.
