The bowlers then stepped up, impressing with not just their intent but also their execution, they joined hands in a rip-roaring collective exhibition to bowl Pakistan out for 224. Victory on the night by a massive 76 runs.
Virat Kohli scored a splendid century to help India post 300 for seven in 50 overs after skipper MSDhoni won the toss and elected to bat first. He was aided by two half-centuries by southpaw Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina. Virat Kohli was dropped twice during his knock.
