New Delhi: 14th November, commonly known and celebrated as the Children’s Day was observed by North Delhi Municipal Corporation in a grand way on the occasion of birth anniversary of Children’s Day at Rani Jhansi Stadium in Keshav Puram.

North Delhi Municipal primary school children, dressed up in colourful attire, performed folk dances, action songs, mass PT drills, aerobics and physical exercises. The cultural programmes presented by the children created an unforgettable experience for spectators.
Children’s Day: Observed in impressive way by NDMC

Mayor Mr. Ravinder Gupta announced that the schools of North DMC would remain close on 16th November on account of Children's Day. He said that teachers and students have done a lot of hard work for the function of Children's Day and therefore they are being provided this leave. He said that education is the biggest tool of empowering citizens and North NDMC is doing great efforts in this direction.

Dr. Neelam Goel said that the Corporation along with education also provides free uniform, books, mid-day meal and shoes. She said that the Corporation has made efforts to provide modern facilities like computer education and TV-cum-computer screen.

Ms. Usha Mehta said that there has been a decline of values in recent times. She said that school teachers can play a big role in instilling moral values among students and sensitizing them towards society.
