In the interesting opening match of their group, Bangladesh thrashes Sri Lanka with the magnificent score by Mushfiqur scored a career-best 144 off 150 balls with 11 boundaries and four sixes.
Earlier Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat in the opening match of the Asia Cup. Bangladesh scored 261 all out in 49.3 overs and certainly Mushfiqur was the hero for the Bangladesh who made his career best in ODI as 144 off 150 balls.
It was another golden efforts with Tamim, when Mushfiqur with Tamim added an invaluable 32 runs for the Bangladesh. Both the batsman made these glorious runs in only 2.4 overs and which become crucial for the team for the victory of the match.
However chasing 262 was not a difficult task for the country like Sri Lanka, but it become difficult as its batsman not showed the chasing attitude. Lankan batting collapse as none of its batsmen showing their intention to stay at the ground and it become difficult for the Lankan side to win the match.
Amazingly entire Sri Lankarn team made 124 in 35.2 overs which become Sri Lanka's lowest ODI total against Bangladesh. Certainly the lack of rotation and responsibility were the main cause for the debacle of the Lanka also there was no partnership for the team.
Once Sri Lanka was 32 for 3 and team was on back foot in the match. The situation for the Sri Lanka remains the saame as it was 42 for 4 after the first powerplay 10 overs and it remained the same till the last ball for the innings.
