Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Arvind Kejriwal  launched the  Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana in a function organised at Delhi Secretariat. The Govt. of Delhi approved the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana in its cabinet meeting held on 8th January 2018 for arranging free pilgrimage of the senior citizens of Delhi.

Inaugurating the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana,  Kejriwal said that the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana will enable 1100 senior citizens from each Assembly Constituency of Delhi per year to undertake free pilgrimage, the expenses for which will be borne by the Delhi government. (It is proposed that a total of 77,000 pilgrims will be able to avail this facility every year).

Shri Kejriwal appealed Senior citizens on this occasion to bless and pray for Delhi government for getting success in implementation of its mission of serving public at large. He said that our mission is to give good education to the students of Delhi, our mission is to provide better health facilities and services to all and now our mission is to provide the best transport to the people.


Shri Kejriwal said that our Government respects elders and Senior citizens. He said that no society or country can progress until and unless it gives respects to its Senior Citizens.

  •  Medical Certificate

Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Manish Sisodia said that the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana will help and promoting communal harmony and brotherhood in society in such an atmosphere, where hatred and discard in the society everywhere. He said that Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Arvind Kejriwal conceptualised the idea of starting the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana for arranging free pilgrimage to the Senior Citizens of Delhi.
