Waste are understood as the burden and headche for our city and our society. We assume that wastes are meant as a plight and unwanted things for our society. But there are the people around us who worked for the mission to create Art from these Wastes. You can't believe that these guys are engaged in making the environment around us waste free with leaving a healthier tomorrow for our future generations. If you are concerns about the environment with creative bend of mind they you should go through the article which guide you to create something special with the wastes created by us. Being a strong adherent of the environment, Inter Globe Foundation organised an ‘Awareness Walk & Create Art from Waste’ activity in Gurugram to rejuvenate the Chakkarpur-Wazirabad bundh.

Commenting on the initiative, Ms. Rohini Bhatia, Chairperson, Inter Globe Foundation, said, “Inter Globe is committed to making the environment around us waste free and leaving a healthier tomorrow for our future generations. We are pleased to contribute meaningfully to such initiatives through our employee volunteers and are thankful to ‘I am Gurgaon’ for helping us in this endeavour.”

The restored bundh helps people connect from one end of the city to another without having to access main roads encouraging actual travel and leisure activities. Volunteers from the InterGlobe group of companies came together to support the cause of protecting and preserving eco-public spaces. During the half day activity, the volunteers had an opportunity to participate in a walk-through at the Bundh for 2 km, (starting from the entry point to the Bundh from DLF Phase-I metro station) to the art installation site.

As part of the awareness campaign on source segregation of waste, a team of artists including the renowned lead artist Mr. Arunkumar HG created a massive art structure made from waste materials on the site. InterGlobe volunteers participated in adding to this art structure along with a workshop on waste segregation.

The bundh, part of an old irrigation system had become a dirty patch, & a waste dumping ground and was recently eco-restored by ‘I am Gurgaon’, with financial support from many corporates including InterGlobe Aviation.

InterGlobe Foundation chose this venue to organize volunteering activity for the employees of InterGlobe group of companies to advocate for dual objectives of environment –  creating green public spaces and making the city waste free, thus providing inclusive spaces for the citizens of Gurugram.
