The Smt. Anandiben Patel, who has credit to become the first Woman C.M of the Gujarat, now she will become the first Woman Governor of U.P. However Smt. Sarojini Naidu was the first Governor of the state, then it was known as the United Province in 1947.
In a major changes, the Center has appointed new Governors of Six states in the country. The Smt. Anandiben Patel, Governor of Madhya Pradesh has been transferred and appointed as Governor of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from her, five more Governor of the States has been changed.
Shri Lal Ji Tandon, presently Governor of Bihar, has been transferred and appointed as Governor of Madhya Pradesh. Earlier smt. Smt. Anandiben Patel was the governor of M.P.
It is to be noted that this will be the first time when U.P will get the woman Governor in the state. However Smt. Sarojini Naidu was the first Governor of the state, then it was know as the United Provinces in 1947. It was 1950 when Uttar Pradesh state was incepted.
Patel's appointment, this is the first time that UP will get a woman Governor since it’s inception in 1950. Sarojini Naidu was the first Governor in 1947 but of the United Provinces. Earlier it is Smt. Anandiben Patel who become the first C.M of Gujarat in 2114 after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister of the Country.
Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar has been appointed as the Governor of West Bengal. Shri Ramesh Bais has been appointed as Governor of Tripura.Shri Lal Ji Tandon, Governor of Bihar is transferred and appointed as Governor of Madhya Pradesh. Shri Phagu Chauhan as Governor of Bihar, Shri R. N. Ravi as Governor of Nagaland.
