Aam Aadmi Party appoints Burari MLA Sanjeev Jha as the state in-charge of Bihar
Aam Aadmi Party has appointed senior leader and Burari MLA Shri Sanjeev Jha as the state in-charge of Bihar and in-charge AAP Delhi Purvanchal Organisation. In Early 2007 he participated in various events on the environment and also started social work of teaching for poor children in East Delhi Slum area.

Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal congratulated Shri Jha for his appointment. Shri Jha said that he will work round the clock to ensure the work of the party in Bihar and strengthen the party in the state.

On the appointment, Shri Jha said, "I want to thank Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal for giving me this responsibility as the in-charge of Bihar. I will work round the clock to ensure the work of the party in Bihar and strengthen the party in the state."

Shri Sanjeev Jha was born on 01 August 1979 to a Hindu family in Sunderpur Bithhi Village, Madhubani district, Bihar State. He was the third of fourth children born to Late Sh. Sushil Jha and Gayatri Devi. Jha's family belonged to the Maithil- Bhramin community. 

In early 2012 Sanjeev play a key role in the formation of CHATRA YUVA SANGHARSH SAMITI (CYSS). Following the creation of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in late 2012, Sanjeev Jha was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly in the December 2013 Delhi Assembly election, when he defeated Shri Krishan Tyagi, a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate, by 10,351 votes in the Burari constituency of North East Delhi. He had also served Chairman of District Development Committee (Central District).

In the February 2015 Delhi Assembly election, which resulted in a landslide victory for AAP, he was again elected from Burari, With over 67,950 votes (Second Highest Margin In Delhi). Later that he appointed as Spokesperson & Prabhari of State Bihar and Jharkhand by Aam Aadmi Party. 

In 2020 Delhi Legislative Assembly election, he again defeated JDU candidate by over 88,158 votes (The highest recorded margin in the history of Delhi that any Vidhansabha candidate had ever won by). He has now been appointed as Member of Delhi Jal Board. He has also serving Chairman of Govt. Assurance committee of Delhi Legislative Assembly.

In Early 2007 he participated in various events on the environment and also started social work of teaching for poor children in East Delhi Slum area. In 2011 He joined the anti-corruption movement launched by Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal and formed IAC YUVA MANCH. The IAC demanded enactment of the Jan Lokpal Bill, which would result in a strong ombudsman. He also led the Nirbhaya protest with Shri Arvind Kejriwal in 2012.
