COVID: Only go to Hospitals if you have Severe Symptoms,Treatment at Home is Entirely Feasible-Health Minister
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has said that the best way to avoid corona is to wear a mask and practise social distancing. Only go to hospitals if you have severe symptoms; treatment at home is entirely feasible. The period of home isolation has been reduced to 7 days; if the fever does not return within 3 days of the end of the 7-day period of home isolation, there is no need to test; you can return to work.

Satyendar Jain said that the Kejriwal Government has remained steadfast towards protecting the people of Delhi and mitigating the Covid situation. As Delhi battles with its fifth wave of Corona, Health Minister Shri Satyendar Jain provided detailed information on the situation on Friday. 

He further said, "Yesterday, a total of 15,097 new cases of Covid were reported in Delhi, with a positivity rate of 15.34 percent," he said. He stated that the Omicron variant of Corona is rapidly spreading in Delhi, with a total of 31,498 active cases.

The Delhi Health Minister urged people to abide by the Corona regulations. He urged people to wear masks and practise social distancing in public places for their own safety, stating that precaution is the only way to avoid it; do not leave the house for unneeded tasks.

There is no need to be concerned about the Omicron variant of Corona; experts have also stated that the Omicron variant of Corona is mild and less lethal. He went on to say that "construction workers should not be concerned as the work will go on. The best way to avoid corona is to wear a mask and practise social distancing. Only go to hospitals if you have severe symptoms; treatment at home is entirely feasible. As per Health Minister Shri Satyendar Jain, the Delhi Government has implemented strict rules for the prevention of Corona, such as gyms, schools, colleges, and avoidable places being closed.  There is no lockdown in Delhi, and construction work will continue as usual; there is no reason for labourers and migrant workers to be concerned. "A total of 1091 patients are admitted in Delhi hospitals, of which 869 are from Delhi," he continued.

Compared to the first wave of the corona, this time the number of patients admitted to the hospital has reduced by 6 times. This is the fifth Covid wave in Delhi, and its peak is expected in a few weeks or days. In Delhi, there have also been cases of some health workers, such as doctors and other medical personnel, testing positive, but in very small numbers. All of them are currently undergoing treatment, and it is expected that they will recover and return soon. The Health Department has kept all resources, medical centres, and hospitals ready to deal with the dire situation.
