Lord Hanuman is known among his devotees for the Sankat Mochan when they remains introuble and pulled them out of it.
Lord Hanuman is always ready to serve Lord Rama. Then he should find out in Lanka when Sita Mata is abducted by Ravana or there is an incident of war with Ravana, Lord Hanuman is always ready.
Sugriva, being tortured by his elder brother Bali, was living in the caves of the mountains. Lord Hanuman, who is compelled to cling to life by the fear of elder brother Bali, comes out of this crisis to Sugriva. It is Hanuman who befriends Lord Rama with Sugriva, who plays a major role in killing Vali and getting Sugriva to get the throne.
Lord Hanuman turns out to be his brother Vibhishana, who was rejected by Lankadhipati Ravana, in the moment of crisis. Hanuman plays a major role in first befriending Lord Rama and then making Vibhishana the king of Lanka.
It is said that Lankadhipati Ravana had taken Shani Dev hostage by hanging him upside down in his court. Lord Shani Dev himself was in trouble at that time because it was not easy for Shani Dev to get out of Ravana's trap. It is believed that Lord Hanuman saved Shani Dev from that crisis. Even today it is said that the devotees who worship Lord Hanuman get peace from the wrath of Shani.
You will find innumerable such incidents in Ramayana and Ramcharit Manas which proves that Lord Hanuman is always at the forefront of helping the characters who are in disaster or in any crisis and this is the reason why Lord Hanuman always solves the troubles of his devotees. He is ready to overcome and that is why the devotees call him by the name of Sankatmochan.
