Pakistan is to repay a foreign debt worth USD 1 billion against a 10-year Eurobond maturing in the middle of this month which will reduce the stock of the debt acquired through the selling of bonds in international markets to below USD 7 billion.

Mexico suspended relations with Ecuador
Mexico has suspended relations with Ecuador after the arrest of former Ecuadorian Vice President Jorge Glas by Ecuadorean authorities from the Mexican embassy. It is noted that Jorge Glas, convicted twice for corruption, had been holed up in the embassy in Quito since seeking political asylum in Decembe.
