Dr Harsh Vardhan has noted the reports and interviews in the media which indicate that Mr Kejriwal is repenting his act of resigning the chief ministership of Delhi after only 49 days in power.

The people of Delhi are suffering for his adventure. Instead of resolving the problems of water and power, he has left Delhites this summer to unaccountable bureaucrats. If he wanted to run the government to mitigate the summer problems of Delhi, then the BJP would not have come in the way.

“He promised to introduce 50 percent cuts in electricity bill. But whereas the people expected him to punish the private sector Discoms for looting them with inflated power bills, Kejriwal compensated them. This kind of illusion will not be forgiven,” Dr Harsh Vardhan said.

“People call him a ‘bhagora’ because Kejriwal revealed himself to be an escapist. Today that word is haunting him wherever he goes. Angry people are mobbing him and it is unfortunate that a few of them are giving vent to their anger at him by slapping him, “the BJP leader said.

“Instead of slapping him literally, people should give him an electoral slap and send him home. The people of Delhi have already expressed their rage against Kejriwal and I now request the people of other parts of India to reject AAP candidates everywhere because they are nothing but foreign-backed spoilers who want to keep the country backward.,” Dr Harsh Vardhan, whose own election got over on April 10, said.

New Delhi: The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC), terming the attack on Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal as part of a cheap political gimmick orchestrated by the Aam Aadmi Party, has demanded the Lt. Governor and the Police Commissioner to order an high-level probe into the attack. Senior leader and chief spokesperson Mukesh Sharma said in a statement here that a person who had earlier thrown ink on Kejriwal was now working at the AAP office, which has established that this case was also orchestrated by Shri Kejriwal and his handlers. The Pradesh Congress has demanded that to find out the truth about the present Kejriwal attacker, he should be subjected to a lie-detector test, to expose the truth.

Mukesh Sharma said the fact that this incident had happened in the presence of Delhi Police constables, that no case was registered against the attacker, that Shri Kejriwal sat on a dharna at Rajghat immediately after the slap incident and Kejriwal meeting his attacker in his house today were all pointed to a well-planned incident. He said on the one hand Kejriwal in a statement had said that there was threat to his life, and on the other hand, he was refusing to take personal security, which was a political strategy and drama. Shri Mukesh Sharma said it was true that people, fed up with his lies, was looking at him as a big fraud, and the poor people were waiting to mirror his true face on the voting day tomorrow.

Mukesh Sharma, quoting reliable sources from near the residence at Aman Vihar, Kirari of the auto driver who attacked Shri Kejriwal, said one day before the attack, he had participated in the election campaign of AAP. The attacker was also heard saying that the AAP would play such a big game that there will be a sympathy wave in favour of the AAP. He said the present attacker had also said that Kejriwal was like God to him, which only reinforced what the Congress party has been saying althrough.

He said it should also be enquired that 24 hours before the attack on Shri Kejriwal, who all his attacker was in touch with. Shri Sharma said the Congress Party had reliable information that a day before, the attacker of Kejriwal had a meeting with a very big leader of AAP, where the plan was hatched on the attack on Kejriwal.

Mukesh Sharma has also demanded the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi to take action against Shri Kejriwal for trying to incite the voters through this criminal offence.

New Delhi: Members of the AAP Party led by its Leader Arvind Kejriwal have stepped up their rhetoric over the last few days asking people to willingly and consciously vote for instability and tried to glorify a hung parliament.

At meetings held in Delhi during his road shows, Kejriwal has been heard exhorting people to vote for a third alternative knowing full well it stood no chance in government formation. He has even tried to sell the benefits of a minority government.

It is clear now that the charges hurled at Mr. Kejriwal from various quarters of being an agent of certain powers or of acting under the influence of a cartel of inimical forces is looking credible by the day. “Whereas earlier we thought these charges were being made indiscriminately, it looks like there is merit in the charges against AAP’s leadership. After all, what normal, nationalistic person could possibly want instability in the country,” asked Sanjay Kaul, Party spokesperson at Delhi.

BJP said that Mr. Kejriwal is not only keeping the company of people who have advocated secessionist moves in Kashmir, he has also among his colleagues in his party people who have been identified as Maoist and separatist sympathisers and indicted for anti-national activities. “This new trend of selling the benefits of an unstable government and a hung parliament seems to fit right into the plans of anti-national forces and everyone who dreams of making India weak”, said Kaul suggesting that this mirrored the sentiment of India haters.

Mr. Kejriwal seems to want to repeat his horrible experiment of Delhi where he first formed a minority government with the help of Congress and then quit leaving the city in a mess. “Mr Kejriwal is a pathological disruptionist who wants to sustain his importance at the cost of peace and harmony, good governance and development. It is difficult to believe anyone who has the interests of the nation at heart will ever vote for him with this attitude”, said Kaul.

BJP will give special emphasis to the problems of the youth of the country to make them capable to handle their social and family problems. On the other hand, Congress Party is all the time busy in filling up its coffers and is least bothered about the problems of the people like unemployment, housing, health care, security of women and terrorism. Congress Party’s only goal is to be glued to power.

Dr. Udit Raj further said that from the point of view of development and facilities, this area is quite backward, even though it is a part and parcel of Delhi for which the Congress Party and its MP from the area, Krishna Tirath are solely responsible. Even though work on the Metro rail commenced in this area for the first time 12 years ago, this line has not been extended further. Not only this, there is no Government transport connectivity from the Metro station to the rural areas nor there is any proper private transport system.

Not only high schools and colleges but even the primary schools in the area are in a very bad shape. For a population of about 25 lakh people in the area, there is only one Government hospital and even there modern facilities do not exist. The crime graph has gone very high and the senior citizens as well as the women-folk are not feeling safe and secure. What is this development model of the Congress Party because of which most of the people are feeling insecure, unhappy and deprived of medical facilities?

AAP alleges UPA influencing investigation into Gas Price Hike Scam

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) strongly condemns the desperate attempts by the Congress-led UPA’s central government to influence the ongoing investigation into the multi-crore natural gas price hike scam by Delhi government’s Anti-Corruption Branch.

The opinion by a central government’s law officer (Solicitor General) reported in the media is shocking and clearly establishes collusion between the petroleum ministry and the Reliance Industries Limited, which is aimed at providing this company an unjustified gain of Rs 54,500 crore every year.

The Solicitor General (SG) appears to be trying to create an erroneous impression that even if any central minister allegedly commits a crime in Delhi, then no action can be taken against such a minister.

The timing of the SG’s opinion is questionable and raises suspicion that the UPA government, which is about to demit office in a month’s time is using its law officers to avoid facing the law, once it is out of power.

What was least expected from a law officer was to have taken into account the fact that the Election Commission has deferred the central government’s decision to double the prices of natural gas from April 1.

Why has the opinion been rendered nearly two months after the FIR was registered by the Anti-Corruption wing ?

What is surprising is that the SG has used the language quite similar to that of the BJP leadership in raising a false and unjustified bogey of federalism in their combined attempt to bail out the RIL and support the petroleum ministry’s move to double the prices of natural gas.

The clear proof of Congress-led UPA and the BJP are together in bailing out the RIL was their decision to vote together in the Delhi assembly on February 14 to defeat the AAP government’s Janlokpal bill. This took place merely three days after the Arvind Kejriwal government had directed the Anti-Corruption Wing to register an FIR against the RIL and petroleum minister M Veerappa Moily, among others.

Why are the Congress and the BJP, both, shying away from revealing the amount of funds they have received for the Lok Sabha elections ? Can these parties declare that they have not received any funds from the RIL ?

The SG’s opinion raises serious questions about professional ethics also. He is the same law officer, who on April 3 tried to defend the centre’s decision to double the prices of natural gas before the Supreme Court.

Is it justified for a law officer who has been consistently taking a pro-RIL stance in his opinions/submissions to comment on the alleged criminality of the same company, which hobnobbed with the UPA government to impose a huge financial hike on the people ?

Party spokesperson Sanjay Kaul said that the Solicitor General’s qualified statements in court pointing out that the then Chief Minister of Delhi was in contravention of law on the matter of filing an FIR against a union minister on the gas price fixation issue have come as further evidence that Mr. Kejriwal’s statements are designed to beguile and mislead, in or out of office.

Reacting sharply to the development, Sanjay Kaul, Chief Spokesperson BJP Delhi said, “It is hardly possible that as Chief Minister Mr. Kejriwal did not have access to the best legal advice. That he still chose to ignore it for the purposes of creating a sensation when the FIR stood no chance of holding up in court is a shocking indicator of how far he is willing to go to twist a factual position.”

In the mean time, there has been deafening silence from Mr. Kejriwal since he was challenged by the BJP to produce any document supporting his claim that BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat CM Narendra Modi had written a letter under his signature asking for a gas price revision.

“Mr Kejriwal’s lies are getting nailed faster than one can count. It’s time people of Delhi see him for what he is: a typical small time politician with no qualms, no morals and no shame”, said Kaul.

Earlier this week, the EC upheld the complaints filed against the AAP for violating the model code of conduct by using Narendra Modi’s image in its campaign. It is learnt that the EC has served the AAP notice to desist from doing so and remove any existing use of such images.

The BJP has also petitioned the EC to block the AAP’s radio spots where its leader Arvind Kejriwal is accused of misleading people by suggesting that his government was brought down because opposition parties did not allow the Janlokpal Bill passage.

Party spokesperson Sanjay Kaul said the radio spot was a blatant lie. “How can members of the legislature pass a bill that has not been tabled? Besides, let it not be forgotten that the AAP willingly brought down its own government”.

New Delhi: BJP Delhi chief spokesperson Sanjay Kaul today said the Mr. Kejriwal’s reported statements at a rally in Delhi suggesting that he had in his possession a letter signed by Narender Modi seeking a gas price hike was a blatant lie.

“It is unbecoming of someone who has held office to indulge in this level of falsehood and I challenge Mr. Kejriwal to produce such a letter or apologize publicly for saying this”, he said.

Kaul said that his failure to do so would only confirm Kejriwal’s reputation as a pathological liar.

Mr. Kaul argued that the AAP campaign on the gas price fixation was a red herring designed to fuel Mr. Kejriwal’s election campaign. He said that the AAP has tried to politicize the gas price fixation issue and floated a new conspiracy theory only to bolster its falling popularity ratings.

Clarifying that there was no truth in Kejriwal’s charge, he said that it should be made clear that Gujarat CM and BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has written no such letter to the Government of India on this matter.

Reacting to a press note circulated by AAP earlier, Kaul said that Government of Gujarat has never asked for a price of $16 per MMBTU of domestic natural gas as is being alleged. “Mr Kejriwal should have known that the price and volumes of natural gas are dictated by the Government of India and State Governments have no role in the matter”.

Pointing out that the matter of gas pricing is already pending in the Supreme Court and the matter is under the consideration of the Parliament Standing Committee, Kaul underlined that Kejriwal’s exhortations were only meant to excite the public and not to work for the benefit of consumers.

AAP’s vigilantism on the issue is only putting gas producing companies in risk and this will eventually harm the entire sector and increase India’s dependence on highly priced foreign gas imports. Clearly, the only beneficiaries of Mr. Kejriwal’s campaign are going to be non Indian gas producing entities to the detriment of self sufficiency and energy security.

Congress and BJP have left a big scar on aspirations of people:AAP

Prof Anand Kumar, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for North East Delhi Parliamentary Constituency said that despite being in Delhi, North East Delhi resembles as backyards of a backward region and is draped in inadequate development and insufficient democracy. It is time we exposed the bluff of the Congress and Bhartiya Janata Party, which have represented this constituency and done absolutely nothing to bring development in the Constituency.

He further said, “Overall development of the area, providing basic amenities including access to water, good roads, electricity, sewers and hospitals to its people and high quality education will be high on my priority. I will show what development means, on ground.”

Among others, Prof Kumar said he would work towards setting up an East Campus on the likes of North and South campuses, establishing Central School and Novodaya Vidyalayas as well as work on regularization of the unauthorized colonies.

“People are suffocated with the hypocrisy of the Congress and Bhartiya Janata Party, which in past 20 years, have blatantly ignored all their basic needs. People are adamant at exposing the bluff that these parties have played. Our manifesto is an expression of people’s aspirations,” said Prof Kumar at the release event.

Prof Kumar said the Trans Yamuna area of North East Delhi is devoid of even a single women’s college. As compared to rest of Delhi, even the primary school education facilities in the area arenegligible. “As a teacher, I understand the need of education better, so working in this direction will be one of my top priorities,” added Prof Kumar, who is a Professor of Socilogy at Jawaharlal Nehru University and also President of Indian Sociological Society.

Large population in this area is of labour class, who are devoid of the benefits from various insurance, employment guarantee, pension, and labour welfare schemes. One of the key problems of this area is women’s safety. Domestic violence, atrocities against women, cases of rape, and dowry related harassments are rampant and it’s a tragegy successive governments have been unable to address these problems.

Rahul Gandhi knowing problems of craftsman and artisan

Moradabad: Rahul Gandhi during his visit of Moradabad instantly struck a chord with the artisans of Moradabad during an interaction.

He said all problems of craftsmen can be addressed if there is a proper administration. “I don’t want to give you false promises. We don't have a magic wand. It will take time and we would work towards that.” He assured that there will be government-run hospitals for artisans.
