New Delhi: in a bid to improve the health related issues in Capital, Delhi government is all set to launch another Multi Speciality hospital in Delhi. Health Minister Dr. A.K. Walia informed that the Delhi Government has engaged National Building Construction Corporation Ltd. (NBCC), a Govt. of India Enterprise, for construction of 200-bedded multi-speciality hospital at Ambedkar Nagar (Dakshinpuri) in South Delhi. A Memorandum of Agreement was signed today between the Govt. of Delhi and NBCC to this effect.
The Hospital will be a multi-speciality hospital having services such as OPD, IPD, OT, Emergency, Laboratory etc. and departments such as internal medicine, general surgery, obstetrics & gynaecology, paediatrics, orthopaedics etc., Dr. Walia said. He added that the Hospital will further have 50% dedicated beds for catering to mother & child health care services.
Health Minister further informed that the Hospital will be constructed at a cost of Rs.128 crores and will be funded by Delhi State Health Mission (DSHM) through Govt. of India. The construction of the hospital will be completed within a period of 24 months.
