New Delhi: Taking a note to the Mid Day Meal tragedy in Bihar, SDMC has come in action and gave a message to the concerned authority that zero tolerance policy will be implemented here. In this regards, chairman Education Committee, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, Satish Upadhyay made visit with senior officials of Education Department to various pantries of NGOs who supply mid-day meal in SDMC schools.

In addition to this, Mr. Upadhyay laid emphasis upon tightening security to avoid outside interference by any persons.
Chairman, Education Committee, SDMC gave directions to officials with regard to disbtribution of mid-day meals and to avoid carelessness also take stern action against the defaulters. The full weekly details of mid-day meal should be displayed on notice board and these list/details should not confine to Zonal level but must be sent to HQ.
Upadhyay said that no compromise will be tolerated in the nutritional value of the food which results in bad impact on the children health. He instructed the Director (Education) Shri Sushil Singh that the sampling of mid-day meals should be checked at officer level weekly by notified labs only.
