New Delhi:Noted Bhojpuri singer and film-actor Sh. Manoj Tiwari today joined the BJP in presence of Delhi election incharge and former BJP national President Nitin Gadkari, Delhi election co-incharge R. K. Sinha, Delhi BJP President Vijay Goel and former Delhi BJP President Vijender Gupta and at 13, Teen Murti Marg. Sh. Tiwari’s coming to BJP fold reflects the groundswell of support in its favour ahead of the assembly polls in Delhi.
Joining the BJP, Tiwari said, "It is my honour to be received in the BJP by Nitin Gadkari and Vijay Goel as the BJP is set to unseat the insensitive and corruption ridden Congress government. I feel honoured to work for the party under the leadership of Sh. Narendra Modi."
Tiwari has contributed immensely to socio-cultural representation of Bhojpuri on national scale with his meaningful films and popular songs. He has put the Bhojpuri cinema at the forefront of Indian films and at par with the Bollywood. Sh. Tiwari a considerable influence among the people from Purvanchal living in Delhi, who have been neglected by the present government.
With. Tiwari joining the BJP, the support of the Purvanchalis will only swell in favour of the BJP in Delhi. Goel said, “Tiwari has a huge following and will prove to be a great asset to the BJP. All those who want to get rid of the misrule of Congress are joining BJP as it is the only viable alternative in Delhi.”
