Keeping view of difficulties being faced by underprivileged people in the harsh winter conditions prevailing in Delhi, Smt Sudha Joshi, President BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA), wife of ubhash Joshi, Director General, Border Security Force inaugurated temporary Night Shelter at DR Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi [ Behind Neuro Surgery, Ward No 13 (open area facing the DG Set) ], New Delhi.

BSF inaugurated these shelters for the kith and kin of patients who visit DR Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi and have to halt there for long in these cold nights when temperature of Delhi goes near zero degree, while their patients undergoing treatment.

BWWA has been on the forefront of providing it services to a social cause and this the second time for inauguration of Night Shelter)in this year 2013. Under the scheme, BSF has build four temporary night shelters with tents, which can accommodate more than 50 people and will also provide blankets, mattress and even Television along with cable is placed in tents for recreation. Not only this much, each tent is having room heater (blower) to keep the tent warm during the extreme cold. This facility can be availed by the people who visits this hospital for getting treatment of their kin.

Sudha Joshi during her speech thanked DR Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital authorities for giving a chance to serve the people in need. DR Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital authorities also appreciated this gesture of BWWA.

Besides BWWA President Sudha Joshi, senior Doctors and staff of DR Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, senior members of the association, lady wives of Force personnel and large number of people from Delhi also present on the inauguration ceremony of Night Shelter.

BWWA (BSF Wives Welfare Association) is an organization which is vigorously working towards the welfare and advancement of BSF families. BWWA besides providing innumerable benefits to its members also provides an excellent forum for meaningful and fruitful interaction.
