New Delhi: Former-President of Delhi State BJP and former Standing Committee Chairman, MCD Vijender Gupta inaugurated the newly-constructed municipal primary school building in H.U. Block, Pitampura in the Rohini Zone area of North Delhi Municipal Corporation.
Member of Legislative Assembly (Delhi), Ram Kishan Singhal; Chairman, Standing Committee, NDMC, Mohan Prasad Bhardwaj; former Chairman, Standing Committee, Mr. Yogender Chandolia were also present in the inaugural function as chief Guest. The function was presided over by Deputy Chairman Standing Committee and Area Councillor, Ms.Rekha Gupta.
On the occasion, Mr. Vijender Gupta said, ‘that providing better education with modern facilities and infrastructure is the corporation’s priority. Inauguration of this school building is a step in this direction. He said that people of other parties are creating hurdles in the development work by pointing fingers at the Corporation’s abilities but this kind of infrastructure to students is an answer to that.
On the occasion, Mr. Ram Kishan Singhal said that children are future of our nation and the Corporation is trying to provide maximum possible facilities to the children. He said that the Corporation is continuously working to provide better civic facilities to its citizens.
Mrs. Rekha Gupta who presided over the function said that the primary school building was developed in an area of 5536 sq.mts. at a cost of Rs. 282.00 lakhs that comprise 14 classrooms .The two-storey building is equipped with library, open theater, waiting room for parents, Recreation room and modernly developed toilet blocks on both floors.
Ms. Rekha Gupta further said that the model of this school is based on schools in Gujrat from their we carried some specific qualities which will help in students education like walls with social message, black board according to the height of the students, activity room and water harvesting system. ‘Education is the fundamental right of every child and the Corporation is committed to achieve the same’ she said.
