New Delhi: The newly elected MLA Sh. Vijender Gupta commenced development work in his constituency from the Suraj Park Jhuggi camp. The job to cover up a filthy, mosquito-infested pond, in the middle of the slum, took off. A poor habitant of the area smashed a coconut to give an auspicious start to the work. After that, Mr.Vijender Gupta went on an inspection to review the condition of the toilets in the area and listened to the day-to-day problems of the local people and assured them of speedy action on the same.
The senior officials of Delhi Development Board and Slum Unit as well as area Councillor, Sh. Vijay PrakashPandey, BJP Mandal President Sh. Sunil Aggarwal and a large number of women residents of Suraj Park J.J. Camp, were present during the visit.
Mr.Vijender Gupta reassured the J.J. camp residents of fulfilling the Hon’ble Prime Minister NarendraModi’s vision of building pucca houses in the place of shanties (JahanJhuggiVahiMakaan) on a priority basis in Rohini assembly constituency. He called upon the people of Rohini to partake in the Swachh Bharat mission and make Rohini the cleanest and greenest sub-city in whole of Delhi.
