Patna: Ultimately now stage is all set for the returning of Nitish Kumar as the next Chief Minister of Bihar after the high voltage drama in the capital today. The outgoing chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi resigned just before the Assembly convened for the Budget session today morning.

Manjhi could not even muster enough legislators to face the trust vote on the floor of the Assembly and he decided to resign from his post. He blamed JDU and said that there was enough number in his favour but the situation inside the house was not in his favour.

Just after his resignation, Nitish, the leader of the Janata Dal (United) legislature party, staking claim to form the new government in the state.

Kumar will be sworn in as Chief Minister on Sunday, February 22. Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi has asked him to prove his majority by March 16.

However Nitish Kumar copied the politics style of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and did a bit of him apologising for resigning as CM following the party’s abysmal performance in the Lok Sabha election last year.

He said that with folded hands, he apologised to the people of Bihar. Never again will I take a step like this. I am ready to lead from the front, he said.

Certainly he is all set to copy the politics line of Kejriwal but situation is not so much like that of Delhi. It is time which will decide whether the entire episode has benefitted him or his arch rival BJP in the state.
