Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwa has said that the politics in Delhi is taking a surprising turn of events. Earlier, there were only three parties in Delhi, AAP, BJP and Congress. All the parties including BJP, Congress, JD(U), RJD, LJP, and parties from across the nation have come together and their only motive is to defeat Kejriwal.
Addressing a public meeting at the Chandni Chowk constituency Arvind Kejriwal said, “We have worked very hard with dedication, conviction, and honesty in the last five years. We have worked to improve electricity, water, sewer, roads, drainage, infrastructure, schools, hospitals, installed CCTV cameras and street lights, initiated Teerth Yatras, the list is endless.”
He further said that he has worked as an elder son of every family in the last five years. It is he who shoulders the responsibility of managing the household, paying electricity and water bills, taking his parents to a pilgrimage, taking care of the education of the children of his family, taking care of the health of his family, etc. " I have done everything. Around 40,000 senior citizens in Delhi, who have come back from Teerth Yatras are all blessing me. I haven’t earned a single penny in the last five years, but I have earned the blessings of my elders,” he added.
“We still need to do a lot of work in the next five years. The BJP is falsely claiming that the free provision of 200 units of electricity will be stopped on 31st March this year. This is not true. Your electricity will be free until Arvind Kejriwal is the Chief Minister of Delhi. The BJP has released its manifesto today, in which there is no provision of free electricity for the people of Delhi. Which means that the free electricity will surely be stalled if you vote for BJP but it will be free if you vote for Kejriwal.
He further said,"The BJP is also claiming that free bus rides for women will be stopped after elections, but until Kejriwal is in Delhi, we will continue to provide free bus rides to women. We are also making bus rides free for the students. But if you vote for BJP, the free bus rides scheme for women will be stopped, since this provision has not been included in the BJP’s manifesto,” he added.
Mr. Arvind Kejriwal said that his government has improved the education system in Delhi. He said, “The students of the Delhi government schools have received 96% passing percentage, which has happened for the first time in any state in the last 70 years. We have states like UP, Haryana and Rajasthan, where the maximum passing percentage is 40-50%.
