Google Celebrating Impressive Doodle to Acknowledge Great Scientist Mary Somerville
Mary Somerville was a great mathematician and astronomer of her time. Mary Somerville was born on 26 December 1780 in Scotland and her father was Vice-Admiral Sir William George Fairfax.

She studied mathematical and also astronomy in which she was interested from her childhood. It was her interest in the Mathematics which inspire her to study about the plane and spherical trigonometry, conic sections. 

Later she studied also the Astronomy in which she was much interested and studies advance also in the related subjects. Later in the field of mathematics and astronomy, she was nominated to be jointly the first female member of the Royal Astronomical Society. 

Somerville has many research and thesis with her name and later she conducted experiments to display the relationship between light and magnetism. It was "The magnetic properties of the violet rays of the solar spectrum", the thesis of experiment which was read in the Royal Society in 1826."
