Actually, a Leap Day which generally occurs on the date of February 29, is the practice to add to the annual calendar during leap years. The completed extra day which we use to call as the Leap Year Day, makes the year 366 days long – not 365 days, like a common year.
Before this Leap Day 2020, it was occurred in the year of 2016. In the Year of 2016, the day of February was counted as 29 and it appears as the 29 February in the Month of February.
On the same concept, the next Leap Day will occur next in 2024 and the month of February in the 2024 will counted as the 29 days.
