AAP has regretted for the error in connection with the confusion with the Transparency International issue. According to AAP sources, it has clarify factual situation regarding recent controversy concerning a survey reportedly done by the Transparency International. Aam Admi party leadr Shazia Ilmi learnt about a survey that showed a dramatic fall in the levels of corruption in Delhi after Aam Aadmi Party government came to power.
Letter said that since the information came from someone who was an employee of Transparency International, she assumed that it was a Transparency International survey. Although she did not give a formal interview to media, she shared this information in public domain. This was reported by Hindustan Times.
Based on this news report, Arvind Kejriwal also made some remarks.
Since then we have come to know that the said survey had no connection with Transparency International and the source of Shazia Ilmi's information had quit Transparency International by then. We regret this error. The Aam Aadmi Party holds Transparency International in highest esteem and offers apologies for any embarrassment that this controversy may have caused to the organisation.
